Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQ

  • Perinatal mental health refers to emotional and psychological well-being during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. This includes issues such as anxiety, depression, grief from pregnancy loss, and adjusting to new roles as a parent. I provide therapy and support that addresses these challenges, helping you navigate these transitions with the right coping tools and emotional support.

  • Yes! I work with both birthing and non-birthing parents, as well as partners. Parenting involves the entire family, and it’s important to support everyone in navigating the changes and challenges that come with parenthood.

  • Therapy focuses on treating mental health concerns, addressing underlying emotional issues, and helping you heal from trauma or loss. Coaching is more forward-focused, providing guidance, motivation, and strategies for personal growth and navigating new roles, such as parenthood. I offer both therapeutic support and coaching depending on your needs.

  • If you are struggling with emotional or psychological challenges related to pregnancy, postpartum, or parenting, therapy might be the right choice. If you are looking for guidance on navigating these life changes and need strategies to manage stress or self-care, coaching could be a good fit. I am happy to help you explore which option is best for you during our initial consultation.
