Coaching Overview
Support designed to help you find steadiness, structure, and self-advocacy in parenthood.
-
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process that supports growth, insight, and balance. We explore where you are now, what you need, and how to move toward the life and identity you want to build.
This coaching is not just about knowing what to do—it’s about learning how to ask for what you need, especially when plans change.
Self-advocacy is at the heart of this work. Many new parents are used to caring for everyone else first, often without realizing how much they minimize their own needs in the process. Coaching helps you practice speaking up for yourself—clearly, confidently, and without guilt—so you can make decisions that align with your values and energy, even when life feels unpredictable. Each coaching approach is informed by real experiences gathered through the Motherhood Needs Project, a community-based effort to understand what parents truly need in the postpartum and early parenting seasons. Your coaching experience is shaped by both professional expertise and the honest feedback of parents who’ve been there.
-
Coaching is a good fit if you are:
Adjusting to life after birth or expanding your family
Balancing the demands of caregiving, work, and identity
Seeking more confidence, boundaries, or time for yourself
Preparing to return to work or redefine your routines
Craving accountability and structure that align with your goals
Ready to strengthen your ability to ask for what you need—and trust that it matters
If you’re ready to feel supported, organized, and empowered to advocate for your own needs, coaching offers a personalized path forward.

There are many ways to prepare for postpartum. You can hire a doula, take a newborn care class, work with a sleep coach or lactation consultant, read a book, or download a postpartum planner. Each can be valuable in its own way.
Any one of these options may be an important part of your overall support plan. A doula might be essential for some families, while others may benefit most from a lactation consultant or a trusted newborn specialist. For some, a self-guided workbook or printable plan is exactly what they need.
My coaching is not meant to replace those supports. It is designed to help you navigate them. I help you decide what type of help makes sense for your situation, how to choose providers who align with your values, and how to advocate for yourself within those relationships. Together, we focus on clarifying what matters most and how to build a support system that truly fits you.
If a DIY postpartum planner or course gives you everything you need, that is wonderful. But if you are feeling overwhelmed by the options, unsure what applies to your life, or wishing for more guidance as you build your village, that is where I come in.
My coaching focuses on you - your needs, your voice, and your well-being.
Postpartum Doulas
A doula supports you hands-on at home. My coaching helps you recognize what kind of help you need, feel confident asking for it, and communicate your needs clearly to your support system.
Sleep Coaches
A sleep coach helps your baby develop a sleep schedule. I help you create rhythms and boundaries that protect your own rest, emotional well-being, and family balance.
Lactation Consultants
A lactation consultant focuses on feeding techniques and supply. I help you explore how feeding fits into your life and how to make choices that are sustainable, realistic, and aligned with your values.
Newborn Care Classes and Books
Classes and books offer valuable information and checklists. Coaching helps you make sense of that information, filter what matters, and build a plan that actually fits your unique circumstances.
DIY Postpartum Planners
A printable planner gives you a list of what to prepare. Coaching walks beside you through the process, helping you narrow down what is relevant, adjust expectations, and set up systems that truly support your daily life.
You do not need another set of instructions.
You need space, guidance, and clarity to focus on what is most important to you.
This is postpartum planning that centers the parent as much as the baby. It is informed by professional training, grounded in real feedback from parents, and built on the belief that you deserve support that listens, adapts, and empowers.

Every parent’s needs are different, so coaching always begins with a free 20-minute discovery call.
This call gives us a chance to talk about what’s happening in your world right now, what kind of support you’re looking for, and whether coaching with me is the right fit.
After our call, I’ll send a brief summary with my recommendation for the level of support that would best meet your needs, along with a proposed schedule and invoice if you decide to move forward.
There’s no pressure to commit. The goal is to help you find the support that feels sustainable and right for you.
