About Lydia Heimlich, LMSW

I’m a therapist, coach, and a mom, who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through the life-changing journey of parenthood. I know firsthand how complex and transformative becoming a parent can be - not just joyful, but also overwhelming, isolating, and full of unexpected emotional shifts. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to create a space for parents to feel seen, supported and empowered.

My background is in social work. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, and am a Licensed Master of Social Work. My clinical background includes working with adults, children, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic health conditions, and life transitions. Since becoming a mom myself, I have felt more drawn to supporting those in the perinatal period - from fertility and pregnancy to postpartum recover and early parenting. I saw how often this season of life goes unsupported, even as it demands so much from us.

Outside of work, I am part of my growing family of 3. My child has truly has expanded my capacity for love and joy, and also humbled me on the hard days when I find myself relying on the very tools and insights I share with my clients just to make it through. In my free time, I enjoy a mix of nerdy passions like video games, books, and board games, along with a love for animals, nature, yoga, and a good cup of coffee.

Whether you’re navigating new parenthood, processing a loss, managing stress, or trying to reconnect with yourself amid all the change, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help you feel grounded, capable, and supported every step of the way.

What Grounds My Work

Every coaching relationship is guided by these values:

  • Integrity — Honest, ethical support. No sales pressure, no fluff.

  • Empowerment & Autonomy — You are the expert on your own experience. I help you build clarity and confidence while honoring your right to choose what works best for you.

  • Compassion — Parenthood is complex, and you deserve care that holds space for every version of you.

  • Transparency — From pricing to process, you’ll always know what to expect.

  • Sustainability — We focus on what’s real and repeatable — tools that fit your life, not someone else’s ideal.

These values shape not just how I work, but how I hope you feel: supported, seen, and capable.
