About Me

A young woman with shoulder-length dark brown hair, wearing glasses, a purple floral blouse, and blue jeans, standing in a store or library, touching a vertical surface with her right hand, smiling and looking at the camera.

Hi, I’m Lydia: a mom, a therapist, and someone who’s passionate about making space for the real experiences of parenthood.

When I became a parent myself, everything I knew, personally and professionally, took on new depth. I saw just how isolating, overwhelming, and identity-shifting that transition can be, and how little support is actually in place for moms during this time. Around that same season, I also started understanding my own neurodivergence more fully, and I realized how much those two experiences were tangled together. That's what led me to focus my work on perinatal mental health and neurodivergent women, especially those coming to an ADHD or autism diagnosis later in life.

As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C in Maryland, LCSW in Virginia), I provide therapy to individuals and families, bringing both clinical training and lived experience into the room. I know what it's like to suspect your brain works differently for years before you have the language for it, and I know what it's like to have new motherhood arrive on top of that. I'm here to support you through the messy, meaningful, in-between moments of becoming, and being, who you actually are.

Services

Two women are seated in a room with large windows and numerous indoor plants. One woman, on the left, is taking notes and wearing high heels, while the other woman, on the right, is resting her chin on her hand. There is a small table with glasses of water between them and a wooden privacy screen behind the woman on the left.

For adults, children, or parents and children together. Whether you're working through something on your own or want to be part of your child's sessions, we'll figure out together what structure fits.

Individual Therapy

Four friends standing together outdoors during sunset, arms around each other, enjoying the scenery.

A space to connect with other women navigating similar experiences, whether that's the perinatal period, discovering your own neurodivergence, or both. Groups run in small cohorts and meet virtually, offering support that individual therapy can't always provide: the relief of being around people who just get it, without having to explain yourself from scratch.

Group Therapy

A woman and a young boy playing and laughing together on a beach at sunset, with the ocean in the background.

One-on-one support focused specifically on parenting: the day-to-day, the hard moments, and the bigger questions about who you want to be as a parent.
